We here, at Mod 27 Productions, have some big news for yah’. For the first time ever, Mod 27, the improv troupe, will not be performing at any of our June productions. No we didn’t stu-stu-stutter. For the next 4 months we are trying something different. In an effort to grow our productions, Mod 27 is dividing. Like an ameba, we will divide to form two new troupes.
Dave and Tom will be performing a duo show entitled, “O’Hy-o” (pronounced Ohio). Dustin will be rockin’ his power solo show called, “Silent e”. Also joining us will be the Mod 27 Interns, Stuff That Doesn’t Suck, and Palm Beach Community College’s A.I.T.
We hope you enjoy this latest shuffle in our line up! Check out the new shows and let us know what you think by hitting us up with a comment or e-mailing us at mod27@mod27.com.
Check out our revised May and June ’08 Schedule.
Great news everyone, Mod 27 has been selected to perform (as apprentices) at the 2008 Chicago Improv Festival. We are ecstatic about this great opportunity and we hope to represent South Florida well as we embark on our first trip to the Mother Land of Improvisation. Our show will be on Saturday June 7, time tba., at the Gorilla Tango Theatre. Visit www.chicagoimprovfestival.org for full details about the festival.
Ryan Perez goes retro and creates this ol’ school Mod 27 logo. For those of you who don’t know the history of the name Mod 27, it came from a modular classroom (a nice name for a trailer) where our first rehearsals where held on the Palm Beach Community College Lake Worth Campus (ie. modular classroom #27). Much thanks to Ryan for his work. Let us know what you think of the new logo by commenting below.
Want complimentary tickets to Mod 27 production? Great! The first four people to email mod27@mod27.com, with Infectious Comedy typed in the subject line, will each receive two complimentary tickets to see Stuff That Doesn’t Suck on April 26. Limit two tickets per email address.
We’d like to extend a big thanks to our friends at Impromedy for driving up to perform with us on 4/10/2008. You guys were great.
Mod 27’s parent company Take Heed Theater is having a play reading series called, “With Page On Stage”, that has three more shows left. Our last three readings are: “Speed-the-Plow” on April 28th; “The Glass Menagerie” on May 19th; and “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” on June 30th. The performances begin at 7:30pm on the evenings indicated. The performances are being held at the Cuillo Centre 201 Clematis Street, West Palm Beach, FL. Visit Take Heed for more info.
